Half-Orcs

Unlike Ethium, Orcs are a much more active threat in the Dycides. A primary antagonist in the war with was the uplifted Pain Weaver tribe, brought forth from the swamps of Gevat to devastate the Dycides army. A foe who captured strong women of any race for breeding, hacked limbs of their enemies and drag their screaming forms to the next battlefield, and desecrated those they killed in macabre ways. Where many are superstitious about a Dhampir or a Tiefling, they fear and pity half-orcs for their connection to the savages of the west who still threaten the Dycides, occasionally through primitive ships or direct invasion. The Rashaka officially renounced the tribe, but that has not stopped them from wreaking carnage.   While the horrors of the Gevat orc still chill marrow, there are those of orcish decent committed to fighting for the jewel of civilization. These Cityborn use their strength instead to build civilization up, and fight with a resolve seldom seen among the mortal races. Bastions of what their people can do, they often put themselves in harms way to protect others, and attempt to embody the fervor of the orc blood for a righteousness.   Far away in the outskirts of The Dycides, a curious third breed of Half Orc, whose original tribe was lost to the sands of time. The Deep Dwellers put Dwarves to shame in their love of cave and stone. Though often reclusive, more and more these explorers incarnate have spread into new mountains and caverns to find lost secrets below the earth. Now for hire as guides and mercenaries, they are ambivalent toward grand wars or battle, seeking self-perfection and the hearts of the earth itself.
