Freedom War

Introduction

The Freedom War was the 4-year conflict between the two biggest nations in the continent of Victoria at the time; the Kingdom of Bygeniou and the Arlington Dominion. Upon the dawn of the Age of Awakening, the manifestation of Mana became more common amongst humans after it was long forgotten centuries ago. While a majority of the population rejoiced, a handful were not as pleased and saw the manifestation of Mana as evil, unlawful, and as witchcraft. The anti-magic sentimentalists grew more wary, concerned and even afraid of the newly Awakened, and conflicts grew in both cities; murders were being carried out in Bygeniou towards the Awakened, while Arlington sought to banish them and they fought back. The populations shifted as they left their homes to be in a place more accepting for them; Awakened in Arlington left to Bygeniou, while the sentimentalists who weren't as "blessed" in Bygeniou moved to Arlington.
