The Allthrone

Introduction

The Allthrone is the mythical, universal seat of power of the Guardian of Mana, an entity whose principal duty is to maintain the balance of all Mana across the cosmos. The Allthrone is also the universe's original point of creation, and the place of birth of A'dan, the Cosmic Forger. The Allthrone is the ultimate endgame for both the Elder Gods and Shugalo to control, for whichever force controls it, they will dominate the entirety of existence. However, the only way to access the Allthrone was through the Heart of A'dan, which encrusted itself on a nascent planet Earth and shrouded the world with an impenetrable Mana barrier. This stalemate led to the cosmic forces of Light and Darkness to convey their plans to reach the Allthrone in the hands of destiny in the shape of the Earth Chronicles, an all-powerful prophecy etched in stone tablets that have the capacity to forge destinies.
The prophecies of the Earth Chronicles don't mention the Allthrone, but simply state that a mortal will rise and vanquish a looming evil. The intention of finding a worthy champion to take the Allthrone has always been hidden to avoid the deterrment of the Chosen One from taking on such a colossal responsibility. Amongst the Elder Gods' Chosen Ones, First King Trinidad was the closest one to reach the Allthrone, but his ascencion was stopped by an over-zealous Azriel Thermydor, who vowed to eliminate all Elder Gods and take back what was taken from him. As the Elder Gods and First King Trinidad engaged in battle with Azriel inside the Verdant Nexus, a contingency plan was put in place; summoning a third and perhaps last Champion of Light through the Earth Chronicles. Trinidad fell in battle before he could even attempt to take the Allthrone, and Azriel began his hunt for the blood of the Elder Gods.
After Benji sacrifices himself to mend the World Mana Tree from breaking apart, the Elder Gods successfully banished Azriel from the Verdant Nexus, but at the cost of one of their own. The Elder Gods's influence had vastly weakened, and it was Shugalo, Darkness Incarnate, that began to execute his centuries-long scheme. Shugalo knew he now had an advantage to take the Allthrone after he witnessed the bloody battle between Azriel and the Elder Gods. By reaching out to the Earth Chronicles, his influence suppressed that of the Elder Gods's hold on forged destinies and thus began the summoning of a real champion; the Harbinger of Darkness. Genova, his "prototype" Harbinger, was merely a puppet to determine how far could a mortal walk in a path covered completely in Darkness. However, Shugalo learned that Genova wouldn't be a suitable Guardian of Mana because of his hatred the world the same way Azriel was overly-zealous and hateful towards the Elder Gods. Shugalo concluded that the Guardian of Mana must be a person of balance.
The Earth Chronicles, now being manipulated by Shugalo, established the path for one more champion to be born and take on the mantle of hero; a new Harbinger of Darkness, Thenchi Blackrock. In a completely changed world now run by a vengeful Azriel, Thenchi would overcome all odds, all trials and tribulations, to challenge the almighty, god-like Azriel in a clash of Light and Darkness. The victor would then have no more obstacles to claim the Allthrone.
