Purrs

Purrs are a people that closely resemble humans, but are quite different. The largest difference is their cat-like appearance, having cat ears, whiskers, and a tail. They also have many psychological feline tendencies. Their tribes line the northern territories of the Westerns, and they are fairly numerous. They also have a rich history and culture, some of the first people to discover dye.
They have quite the rich history. After the Goblins emerged, the Purrs appeared. Their origins are unknown, but are theorized to come from an early ancestor of the Neiandithal, although this is purely speculatory. They ended up controlling the Westerns, a nice place to control by all means. Their society developed behind the Goblins, and eventually developed electricity, but never at the scale of the Goblins.    They survived the attack of the Diamonds by heading into their temples, deep underground. This heavily reinforced the already strong religious institutions. Most did not survive, however, as rushing into a temple from the surrounding area, sometimes for days at a time, did not bode well for the people living inside.    Despite this, a large amount of people, about 1% of the pre-Diamond Purrish society survived the event, not too bad. They attempted to recover, but in the end the only thing that survived was their religious institutions. They lost the knowledge of their written language and eventually devolved into hunter gatherer tribes. This fact, however, wasn't true to a lot of the priests and seers of the religion. they ended up living beside their respective temples and being a neutral party to all tribes. All tribes bring them food for them to live off of, weekly.    After the rise of Humanity, they bonded closely to the Humans, and managed to secure a spot as a Human friend in the eyes of the average Human. Despite this, they eventualy lost most of the Westerns to Human interference and invasion. Many Purrs still live on this land, however, cooperating with Humans and integrating to their society.
