Known as the People of the Wing, the Icarus are pinged people who live life to the fullest. Their culture and history is rich and fully encompasses the vitality of each and every Icarus man, woman and child.

Anatomy

Amongst the Icarus there are two different variations, The Birds of War and the Birds of Song. While both have their natural advantage over most through their natural gift of flight, the Icarus are one of the few races within the Earthly Realm that are naturally able to call upon magic. The Birds of Song are on average more slender, pure and soft skinned, than their War-born brethren of the Icarus. Physically, while weaker than their counterparts, the Song-born are the only variation able to conjure up magic through the use of song.
On the contrary, War-born Icarus have exceptional physique and take pride in showing it off. What they gain in physical strength, they lack in magical ability and potential comparatively. The War-born are strong and fearless warriors. Through steady and dedicated training, some of Icarus have even risen to the challenge of fighting Garuda, the godlike creatures that share the Misty Peaks alongside the Icarus. By watching and fighting the Garuda, the Leaders of the War-born Icarus were able to channel a deep energy within them that reveals a sort of link between the Garuda and the Icarus...
Despite their magical difference, both the Birds of War and Song have strong chakra and are known to be naturally gifted practitioners of reiki.
