Naga Shujaa

Evolved from the Naga, the Naga Shujaa are lizardmen who have learned to craft and use tools. A single Naga Shujaa is dangerous, but a tribe can be devastating if led by a capable chieftain.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The evolutionary link between the Naga and the Basilisk, the Nagasan are lizardmen whose bodies are made similar to the basilisk, except that they are fully scaled and boast even more impressive regenerative abilities.

Biological Traits

Ability Score Increase: +2 Constitution
Amphibious: The Naga Shujaa can breathe on land and underwater.
Bite: Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Naga Blood: Its genetic predecessors give the Naga Shujaa resistance from poison damage and advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
Natural Armor: You have tough, scaly skin. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Naga Regeneration: The Naga Shujaa regains 2 (1d4) hit points at the start of every other turn. If the Naga Shujaa takes fire or radiant damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of its next turn. The Naga Shujaa can also regrow a single lost limb during a long rest if its done within 12 hours. Should the Naga Shujaa lose its tail, it makes all Acrobatics, Athletic and Perception checks at disadvantage until they take a long rest to restore it.
