The Mothers (Blessed be the tender hug of a Mother)
The Mothers are some among the most ancient creatures that live in what they call Litir Jörðin, which are known by the Hèllanders as Swamps.
Their bodies are all unique in their appearances, but they all share a huge dimension (it’s not rare for them to be two or three meters high). They appear to be composed of bark, roots and moss.
The lucky ones who survived a direct meeting with one of them talk about a faint green light buzzing through the cracks on their bodies.
Outsiders have few if any information about them, but it seems that they can talk, although they only seem to be understood by the dóttir, priestesses of the native populations.
They’re the Guardians of the land, often called when their presence is needed, which only means one thing: blood will be shed.
