Revolution
An organized raid, led by Vander Rommel, Augustus Griffith and space pirate Khala, was enacted on The Obelisk Obscura to secure Sinister Maharana's riches and his life.
After Sinister's display of strength and the discovery of the element that fueled his power, Nether, they began to harvest the antithesis of the new villain: Aether. Vander Rommel, with assistance from various other heroes, was able to construct weaponry and equipment infused with impure amounts of the primordial element. It didn't take long for Sinister's tower to be attacked by those who opposed his new world order. Vander Rommel, a space reptilian named Khala, a priest named Augustus and many others raided the Obelisk Obscura, taking out what little force he had in terms of security. Nonviolence had barely netted Sinister enough followers to stave off the resistance, leaving him cornered by Vander, who had challenged him to a rematch of their initial encounter. Taking place in Hysminai Plains, Sinister told Vander that he was tired of trying to speak peace and intellect into a species that only knew how to respond with violence, deeming them unworthy to convert into Achlys' glory. Instead, he believed that he needed to learn the language of violence, wanting to show Vander just how much he can learn from someone like him. A fierce rematch commenced between them, Sinister coming to learn that not only did Vander craft a plethora of Aether weaponry specifically to combat him but he had indeed merged with the Aether in his sentient jacket in order to establish a more even fighting advantage. Explosions rippled through the plains and limbs were lost but the battle was interrupted by Khala, who had rescued Vander from the progressive intensity of the fight. Sensing the awakened bloodlust and sadomasochism that he believed only Ken had, Sinister retreated into The Wilderness in order to regenerate and grant himself a better body. Upon arrival back on Earth, he discovered that the inheritance he had stolen from Ken in the form of gold bars had been stolen from him by the space reptilian, Khala, The Athenaeum of Polymatheia ransacked completely. Not only was this the first successful assault against Sinister's cult organization but it also established that the once-invincible monster had a Kryptonite, bolstering the heroes' confidence for years to come.
