Aasimar are glorified in most cultures and having one on your side is usually a sign of moral superiority. Aasimar almost exclusively have a holy affinity, though fallen aasimar would usually have a necrotic affinity.
Aasimar come into existence through a few different methods:
They can be created by an angel, usually for a specific purpose.
They can be born through the union of a humanoid and an angel.
They can be created when a humanoid is blessed by a god or an angel.
They can be born when one or both of their parents are Aasimar.
There are rumors that some religious institutions have a way of creating them.
