Character creation
This website contains everything you need to make a character. That being said, character creation will require some reading. I have changed some things from the standard rulebooks so it is important to read them here (for example, thieves' cant is not a regular language and genasi can be born from any race).
This website contains everything from every official rulebook and everything that I have added, so feel free to search for spells or other mechanics in the search bar.
If you don't want to go reading through everything, you can talk with me about what is in the world or I can even add to the world.
I will be attaching articles related to your character to your section of the campaign page.
1. don't be an NPC: Have a reason to be an adventurer and go on adventures.
2. Party up: Have a reason to adventure with the group.
3. Allowed content: You may use anything from any published 5e rulebook. You may also use anything from Unearthed Arcana. You may also use homebrew content if you run it through me first once approved. However, when it comes to religion, the only gods that exist in this world are the ones outlined in the 'gods' section. If you want to be a cleric of a different entity you can run it by me.
4. Rolling for stats: You may choose between rolling for stats (4d6 drop the lowest) or choosing the standard array. However, once you roll, you cannot switch. You may also choose every time you level up whether you want to roll for health (reroll ones) or take the average. Again, you may not switch once you roll.
5. Elemental affinities: Everyone in the Empty Domain has an elemental affinity. This manifests mechanically through free cantrips that you can cast at will (no V,S, or M component required). You may grab one free cantrip from any spell list that matches your elemental affinity regardless of your class. You may also reskin spells. (For example if you have an affinity for water and use burning hands, you may unleash a wave of water).
