Ser Cairbre Meadhan
At A Glance
Ser Cairbe is a former Sworn Sword who was gifted a lifetime right of property and income for his service to the old Eorl. He is known to be competent warrior and his loyalty during the Struggles is a lesson to all other Sworn Swords in their duties. Over forty years old, his hair is thinning as are the warrior muscles but he still has nearly twenty years of experience. Ser Cairbre is unmarried and his modesty has not served him well in pursuing such a goal. He is plain-looking and his squinted eyes from reading in poor light are a constant on his face. He dresses modestly in plain clothes even at court. He does not involve himself in court games, celebrations or other common knightly occasions. Even so, he never misses an invitation from the Eorl.He accompanied the old Eorl into nearly every battle of the Struggles; always at his side. Some pointed and laughed while others admired him. Once he was gifted the lands he put his energy into learning to read and then delving into the High Faith and its beliefs. He is a quiet and frequent worshipper at Brynwall's church services and has even maintained debates with the Eorl's priest, Father Nadol.

Personal history
Ser Cairbra Meadhan pledged himself Sworn to the family of Brynagar in 26 ET and served the former Eorl with honor and distinction throughout the Struggles. Considered a fine combatant, he eschewed the pursuit of glory in favor of doing his duty for the Eorl. At the end of the Struggles and the signing of the Widow's Bargain, his Eorl gifted him with the rights and income of Heller until the end of his days.
Despite expectations of a rush to marriage, as most knights are eager to begin their families in hopes of establishing a lineage, Ser Cairbre has allegedly spent much of his time learning to read so that he could explore his faith through theology, He keeps to himself but always answers the call of Swords banner whenever it so much as blows in the wind.
