Though clearly an organized group of occult-aligned knights, the identities and purpose behind their shadowed masks remain unknown. The Companions have only encountered them once in the ambush on the Eorl of Shields and Prince of Thorns encampment after the marriage of Urian and Moethe. The ambush was clearly aided by occult talent and the knights themselves seemed to host some dark dweomer as well. Each dark knight slain was reduced to ashes within their armor…
