The Calamity Peaks

Dark cloud covered mountain peaks rise over the horizon, with the temperature rising drastically as they are neared. Only the bravest and most resilient of creatures can endure in such a terrible location.

(Fact) Incredibly hot temperatures prevent intrusion except from the most prepared of intruders.

(Fact) Most water in the area is highly sulfuric, but can be filtered for clean water.

Geography

The area is covered in mountains and ravines filled with lava bursting forth from the earth.

Fauna & Flora

While very difficult to find, there are spindly vines growing from the sides of jutting earth. These are a type of vegetable with very subtle earthy flavors. Most other plant life is barely clinging to life as very spare shrubbery. Some very basic flying creatures roam the area as well as lizard like critters that skitter the safe places near sulfuric ponds.

Natural Resources

Various forms of ore rise with the jagged earth, supplying the area with a wealth of crafting material.
