Kelpie

The Kelpie, also known as the swamp horse, is a type of creature living deep in the swamp lands of Enther's northern region.
They are shaped like large horses however they have some distinct features to separate them from their horse brethren. Instead of fur, they have a slick smooth coat, which feels like wet moss on a rock. They have yellow pupiless eyes and their maine and tail are made from a tangle of wet foliage like fur. Unlike horses square teeth, Kelpies have rows of sharp needle like fangs capable of ripping through flesh.
They are able to ride swiftly through waters much quicker than they can ride on land.
The fairfolk living in The Marshes use the kelpies to get around the swamps with ease.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Kelpies enjoy wet humid places, with lots of access to water. They can survive on land but these are not optimum condiitons for them.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Kelpie's eat a mixxture of swamp plants as well as smaller swamp creatures like frogs, fish and larger rodents.
