Fushell
While still a power on its home continent across the sea, Fushell has spent the last decade fractured.
At one point, Fushell was marching across the continent, its imperious march seemingly unstoppable by anyone with an interest to. Country after country were chewed up and subjugated, expanding Fushell's borders at a rapid pace.
However, in a last-ditch effort, the nations left joined into a coalition and met the legions of Fushell on the field of battle. Much to the shock of observers, this coalition managed to turn the army of Fushell back, though of course not destroy it.
Under normal circumstances, the Fushelli would have simply regrouped and come again, almost certainly crushing the spent coalition army, and yet that....never happened. This loss, long considered impossible as well as resulting in the death of more than one prince, caused the nation of Fushell to crack.
It's long since impossibly sized army splintered into many different warlords, each asserting their claim to be ruler prince or not.
Since then, these armies have been waging war with each other over the last decade, alliances and coalitions forming just as quickly as they crumble away.
Everyone else is just caught in the middle.
