The Telegraph Forest

The Telegraph Forest, or the Haephestus Company Testing Ground A-7M, if you want to use its official title, was intended to be the proving grounds of a revolution of telegraphic communications. A massive metal building would be constructed, as tall or taller than the Aurora Tower, and wires would be built from it and spread all across the continent of Gaianios. If the company is to be believed, it would have allowed a much more efficient and quicker method of message delivery with their hub of operators and the infrastructure of Wisps that were to be constructed into the main tower energy supply. A way to boost the power past any means available then or even now.   While I don't believe the company's public statements, I have a gut feeling they were simply planning on spying on each message that passed through their grasp, but in the end, it doesn't really matter as the facility was destroyed before construction was completed. Whatever it was they had inside there has now transformed the surrounding landscape and most everything within in borders but no further.   Why? Impossible to tell without entering the area, and to this day that remains a risky prospect at best.   The Telegraph Forest is dangerous, do not forget that fact as I describe it, but it is also an incredible look into a growing ecosystem. Even though it's an ecosystem made from copper wire and nothing else.   Animals, trees, and even some facsimiles of Manifestations have come to be within the forest and are often all too eager to make introductions to those that enter their borders.
Despite my phrasing, it is not generally noted that the creatures of the Telegraph Forest are intentionally hostile, but they are wild and made of a material that makes it hard to defend against or attack.

As it stands, there is little reason to venture into the Telegraph Forest unless one has a particular need for copper or an insatiable curiosity. The company seems to have little interest as well, so the forest simply sits as a strange curiosity. A few rumors persist about the nature of the heart of the anomaly, and what possible wealth it may impart upon the finder, but all are baseless at ebst and malicious lies at worse, as far as my stance them is
