Andires Family
The Andires Family is one of the six ruling houses of Reishi Island. They have suffered the most of any other oligarchic house - ostensibly, they are meant to be over the craftsmen of the city, handling blacksmiths and shipwrights and clothiers, but after Daevin, Liam, Eleasha, and Amarika Andires died, leaving only Rashard, the other ruling families snapped up at what the Andires once owned, leaving them all but destitute despite their position.
Structure
The once-prosperous Andires used to be a family of five, but a shipwreck, a sickness, and one probable assassination has left only Rashard Andires. As the only living member of the family, he is the family head by default, and therefore the Oligarch, though his position used to be held by his father Daevin, and if not him it should have belonged to his mother Eleasha or his brother Liam.
With very little to manage, Rashard spends much of his time working at the Clarenrock Masonry.
Public Agenda
By all appearances, the Andires family has effectively given up. They have made no major political moves in years, and have publicly announced that the family will not be participating in the upcoming Reishi War Game.
Assets
As an Oligarchic family, the Andires have a sixth of the idyllic Citadel Armarantha to themselves, but they also own an ancestral home in the Hano district should they ever lose their position on the council. Beyond this, the family owns only three businesses: Clarenrock Masonry, Leatherskin Tannery, and Driftwood Carpentry. Only the Abithers and the Broverons could be argued to have less, but in terms of raw number of buildings owned, the Andires are unequivocally at the bottom of the food chain.
