Zephyr
Meretincelle Windwolf Zephyr Kildare
Zephyr is a Motion Phantasm that works alongside Garlan Kildare. It was formed when a particularly potent hurricane passed over Reishi, and Garlan befriended it by practicing his standard Windwolf kata. Garlan named it, and Zephyr gained its canine shape. As time went on and Zephyr grew in strength, it gained the ability to manifest as multiple wolves simultaneously.

Personal history
Zephyr started life as a simple wind Umbra. It chased the winds, danced with the wild, and occasionally rode the lightning. Back then it was not called Zephyr, but even still it felt called to Reishi. Things happened in Reishi, and the little Umbra wanted to be involved. Whenever its attention broke from chasing the storms, Zephyr would find itself drifting back to Korosa. It would follow the soldiers around, chase ships out of the harbor, and drift along with the hustle and bustle.
One day, a storm began to brew, even before the Adgen storm struck. When the ring of Motion passed overhead and its storm combined with the preexisting one, a massive hurricane formed, one that shook all of the Expanse for days on end. Zephyr stayed around Reishi for all of it, rattling shutters, tearing flags from their poles, racing lightning bolts, and surfing on the flowing waters. It was around so often that people started to take notice, and even recognize it. Some would wave through the windows, others would walk alongside Zephyr when they were forced out into the rain and wind.
Garlan Kildare, in particular, came to know the Umbra rather well. Rain or shine, he did not skip his training, and he would often step out into the wind to take lessons from the fluidity of nature. Zephyr danced along with his Windwolf kata, coiling around his arm, standing on the tip of his blade, or rustling through his rainsoaked hair. On several occasions, the knight would postpone his training until Zephyr showed up.
Eventually, Garlan came to see it as a friend. He named it Zephyr, and called it "his little windwolf." That, along with the Umbra's relatively old age, was enough. The little wind Umbra was realized into a full Phantasm--Zephyr the Windwolf--and it became Garlan's loyal companion.
