Ebonbane

History

Ebonbane was crafted of a special cursed iron brought into the world from another plane. Created by an unknown smith, Ebonbane was engraved with a set of runes of purest evil in its deep ebony blade. Ebonbane became aware and sought out a wielder who shared its purpose of utter destruction. Bane found the blade in his travels across the plane. Enjoying the new found blade Bane used Ebonbane to destroy all those who stood in his way feeding the souls to Ebonbane.

During the second times of trouble, Bane was bested in battle by Torm. Ebonbane was lost during the battle. The High Order of Torm found the blade and tried to destroy it. Unable to destroy the blade, the order turned to the Monastic Order of the Fist to hide the blade and to protect it from falling into the wrong hands.

Tso of the High Order of Torm brought Ebonbane to Lady Kateri Shadowborn's manor where the sword tried to destroy her. An battle took place and Lady Shadowborn pulled the blade into the veil to contain the evil of the sword and prevent it from reuniting with Bane.

The blade was destroyed by Valna in the veil when the group was transported to the veil as the blade tried to use Galrik was way out of the veil.

Significance

Ebonbane was Bane's unnatural weapon.  With its destruction, Bane's power is hurt.
