Temple of Painful Pleasures

The Temple of Painful Pleasure is a temple dedicated to Loviatar. Patron interact with the acolytes of Loviatar. The Temple is located in the Castle Ward.

Design

The temple consist of the sanctuary where couches and pillows fill the room with a large bar at the end of the room. A large round rotating dais is in the center of the sanctuary where performances are viewed to all those in the room. Several private rooms along with the Maiden's lair are found next to the sanctuary.

Entries

The entrance to the temple is at the end of a alleyway behind the Book Fetish. Two large stone doors with the symbol of Loviatar engraved in them signifies the entrance to the temple. One has to knock on the door. A door guard opens the door where he expects the platinum headsmans coin with the axe facing up. The coin is obtained from the Book Fetish. If the headsmans coin is not presented four large guards exit and rough up the person taking them out of the alleyway.

Denizens

The temple is full of the wealthier subjects of Waterdeep coming to explore their darker sexual desires. Temple prostitutes engage with the patrons as several temple guards watch to make sure the patrons are safe. The Maiden will take paying customers into her lair for even darker exploits.

Tourism

The wealthy and nobles of Waterdeep come to the temple to explore their sexual desires. The temple is known for keeping their patrons anonymous allowing them free to explore their desires.
The temple does have rules which the patrons are to follow:

You may not enter the temple with weapons other than whips.
You may only enter the temple clad in a robe or entirely nude. Doing otherwise dishonors Loviatar.
The acolytes, denoted with red neck ribbons, are here to fulfill youer desires, but beating them or being beaten by them requires a private room at 100 gold pieces for an hour session. An hour of pleasurable pain from the Maiden cost 1,000 gold pieces.
Everyone else in the sanctuary is a guest and any activities you seek with them must be negotiated and mutually agreed upon.
There is no fighting in the temple.
DO NOT interfere with other guests' pleasure.
If you kill or attempt to kill an acolyte or guest you will be sacrified to Loviatar.
