Illska Meteorite

When we hear about Illska, it's often about weapons and jewelry created from ore mined directly from the meteorite. But when you want to know a little more about the origins of the meteorite, everyone has their opinion, but never the same. I once read in a fairytale book that the meteorite is actually the armour of an evil spirit. Even after 200 years of harvesting the meteorite ore, no spirit showed its face.

The Origin of the Illska Meteorite

This work is extracted from the Book of Magicology and Meta-Physics, chapter on astrophysics

According to the Oryms' writings, the meteor would have been visible in the sky for more than 1m19k and it would have "grown" (a term used by the Oryms to mean that it was getting closer to Zaos) at the rate of one nail (about 8 mm) every 8 k'antu. Moreover, by studying the Illska Crater
and the ash fallout we were able to deduce the speed and the angle of collision with the surface. Using the theory of gravitation adapted to this world and the Oryms measurements, it is reasonable to think that this meteorite does not originate from this star system. The graph on the right shows the estimated trajectory of the meteorite. Since there is no reliable measurement of the trajectory, the curve is averaged between all possible cases.
