The Bay of Scales

The bay found in the eastern reaches of the Drinuvarian Kingdom. The origins of its name are unclear. Some theorise that it is named for its variety of reptilian and piscine fauna, others that the rich mineral deposits of its surrounding mountains, like shining scales, are its namesake. In Halvoya, the region's cultural capital, it is espoused that the bay's unpredictable weather patterns represent the judgement of the god of justice, and that all vessels are weighed upon their mighty scales. In any case, the true origin of the name appears lost to the Ages.
