The Divine Path

Public Agenda

The Divine Path is committed to eradicating anything they deem to be "technology" and believe that the only way for society to progress is through the gifts given to them by the Gods. Any other technology regardless of who has created it must be cleansed. the order moves between towns seeking out anything they deem in need of destruction. When the order has found something they will offer the people or company responsible the chance to repent their transgressions or suffer the punishment. To date the Divine Path hasn't crossed the line into killing people for their refusal to repent but they have burned down workshops and creations as well as maiming inventors to stop them from being able to start their work again.

History

The Divine Path has existed for centuries, with interest in their cause waxing and waning over time. When the first dirigibles were utilised many saw this as an affront to the Gods and an attempt to reach them. As the limitations of the technology became known as well as the impact it could have on the lives of the general population, wider interest in the Divine Path's ethos dropped. Now as the Era of Expansion begins to gain momentum there have been increasing reports of workshop and tinkers being attacked. Some Airship ports have also seen an increase in trespassers wanting to sabotage the craft.
