Voyagers of the Expanse

The Voyagers of the Expanse is a group that represents and supports the Sailors and Aeronauts of the world. They help their members to find employment and ensure that their working conditions and pay are fair.

Structure

The Voyagers of the Expanse have offices in many large cities, sometimes several in the largest port cities and are a hub for both those sailors and aeronauts looking for work aboard a ship and those looking to hire a crew. These offices will normally help set the going rate for a skilled crew member or for someone trained for a specific Role. Communication between offices is normal and statistics are collated within each region to ensure consistency and monitor the performance of these professions.

Membership

Membership of the Voyagers is a simple affair, with representatives of the organisation in most port locations. A prospective member need only visit the office with evidence of time served on a ship in order to be accepted. These membership records are kept and can be looked up by First Mates looking to ensure that a potential crew member is as competent as they say they are.
