Seekers

The Seekers are an order that worships Ioun, The Knowing Mistress. They are a global organisation that work to archive lore and ensure tyrannical leaders are kept in check. Some members are monks, others are knowledge clerics, bards or wizards, and others are just regular individuals working to maintain libraries.

Hierarchy

High Custodian: The sole individual in-charge, a position that changes every 50 years, or with death. An individual with this title dedicates themselves to enlightenment and have ultimate authority on any decision made by the Council of Acquirement.
Council of Acquirement: Each region has a sole representative called a Custodian. These individuals all make up the Council of Acquirement who a responsible for most of the large-scale decisions of the High Custodian.
Curator: Each archive has a Curator, a sole leader of that archive that communicates with their nations Curator. The Curator usually holds this position at the nations largest archive. They often are trained in a magic to enable them to teleport and communicate over long distances.
Archivist: Experienced Seekers that work in the Archives, training new Seekers and maintaining lore.
Vindicator: Field researches trained as either fighters or monks. They can get involved in political justice with the goals of unveiling corruption, or they can work in dungeon delving and exploration to uncover lost lore.
Seeker: Everyone else who dedicates themselves to the archives. These could be librarians, explorers, scribes, etc.
