Humans
The Human race. . . Once a proud and noble folk, are now all but passing into legend. . . Their god killed, and their homeland destroyed, few humans still walk the world. Their homeland of the Everwastes were transformed into an inhospitable wasteland centuries ago. While what happened to the Everwastes remains unknown, roughly half of all humans born are marked with a black spiral birthmark, these humans find themselves drawn to return to the Everwastes, never to be heard from again. . . What humans remain tend to live together in small colonies throughout the world, appearing most prevalently in the Celestial City. Due to the loss of their homeland, they aren’t particularly aligned with any major government entity such as the Clockwork Empire, or the Elven Counsel, rather keeping to themselves and trying not to be crushed by the more powerful races.

Born of the mind of the Demilurge, Humankind were once little more than automata, soulless vessels emptily miming the behaviors of the living. Eventually, by allying itself with the Gods, the Demilurge was finally able to bring his creations to life.
Mankind built great castles in their home kingdom of Rajanvala, as well as sprawling urban villages. The Demilurge took great joy in his creations and very carefully watched and guided their progression as a father would his children.
