Cathedral of Samul
Cathedral of Samul is a gothic cathedral located in Sungear. Standing for centuries, its purpose has been changed for several time.
Architecture
The building was built of marble bricks, rather than reinforced concrete like many modern buildings did. By the fact that it's been delayed for so long, it's one of the oldest buildings in the city.
At the main hall there's a facade at the center. Made of purple stained glass, it's referred to the belief of the city's major religion, Luumism.
History
The cathedral was first built in the early day of the city. It's been on hold for many decades, but once the uprising of Samul Hector occurred, the construction continued, only this time it was repurposed into the meeting hall for his government. The construction was quick and rushed, with the result that looked fewer details than the original, although the facade was still there.
After his reign was ended, it's been turned back to the cathedral again and still to these days.
Tourism
Not only gothic on but exterior and interior that attracts tourists and priests. In the evening, around 5-6 PM, there's a chance the sun will align with a facade so perfectly, it shines sunlight across the big, hollow room to create a beautiful, purple visual of symmetrical pattern of reflection.
