Embrace Armour

Embrace armour is an advanced form of defensive armour which gives its wearer enhanced protection and mobility. The armour works be encapsulating its wearer in a series of metalic straps with armour plates fitted onto the outside. This process can be painful for the taller, less stout races who named the armour after it.

Embrace armour is crafted by master dwarvish artificers.

Discovery

Power armour of some kind has existed amongst the dwarves of Dvarborg for centuries. The armour was originally designed to allow the Dwarves to survive the electic storms of their homeland and to act as advanced flight suits for their airship pilots. As the Dvarborgish turned their attention more towards conquest, the defensive and offensive properties of the armour were improved and built upon.
During the Dwarvik Secession, many of the Armourers defected and embrace armour was used on both sides. This allowed Dwarviking warriors to assault and capture airships, giving them the advantage then needed to defeat their once rulers.
The secession of The Dwarvik Isles brought Embrace armour into the possession of the Empire and it was quickly adopted as the standard equipment of The Imperial Inquisition .
