Government

The town is run by a local village council. It is too far from any major cities to be under direct rule from another power, so the village council has the most power.

Defences

The town has a few watchtowers on the roads leading into the town, but otherwise lacks major fortifications. There is a town garrison of about 40 soldiers.

Industry & Trade

The town is mainly a logging town, obtaining lumber from the nearby Winterwood and shipping it south to Ankhapur.

Guilds and Factions

Zhentarim: The Zhentarim agent Welverin Dragah (Viper) lives in a dried up well in the town. Though he is despised by the town, he runs a few Zhentarim operations out of the town.

Geography

The town is situatedon the Thornwash at the edge of the Winterwood. It has a peaceful, rural beauty about it. The Winterwood is a, barring the dragon Foilsunder (who hasn't been seen by the villagers for almost a century), mostly peaceful and tranquil forest filled with beautiful groves and the fragant smell of pine.
