Minor AI

Not every task need to be handled by a sentient being. Simple maintenance bots, house helpers, fabricators, and vehicle UI are just some examples of processes performed by these machines. Despite being so advanced they seem sentient, actually, none of them are even close to actual sentience.

Invention

Minor AIs are very old, actually predating even the beginnings of the Gaira Empire so very little knowledge is about their actual discovery. Most point out that there was not a discovery, but a gradual refinement of AI technology which no clear point on when the primitive AI ends and when the Minor AI begins. Also, was a technology discovered independently by several civilizations in space, some of them even predating humans as species.

Availability

Minor AIs are commonplace. While more advanced Minor AI can be of very restricted access, even the most humble citizen could afford at least some Minor AI in form of domestic helpers.
