A Kiss Under the Moon
It is a long lasting tradition for a couple, when ready, to propose under the Moonlight Sycamore, and to then kiss under the Moon when the clock strikes midnight. It is said that carrying out this ritual is to bless the love to last for eternity.
History
The Tradition began when two young elves were sitting beside the river Mir, when they saw the tree. Seeing the young girl elf so eager to look at the moon above the tree, the boy elf instantly knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He proposed to her, she said yes and as the Dragon Time Clock struck midnight, they kissed under the moon. They were together every second of every day until they died in eachother’s arms.

This is a really sweet tradition. Are there other aspects, like does it have to be under a particular phase of the moon? Is this particular tree always sheltering multiple couples kissing at midnight? What if the couple is a match their families disapprove of, has anyone come along to try and interrupt the ritual? On the flip side, who were these first elf couple? In what ways was their love for each other tested after their Kiss Under The Moon that helped lead to the belief that this tradition is in fact a way the world works? Is this a local tradition, or do couples in other areas have this tradition as well? I'm a sucker for cute romantic rituals, and you have a great start.
