The Love Blessed to Last
This is a story of the two infatuated elves who started the tradition of kissing under the moon at the Moonlight Sycamore.
It all starts with two elves; Lily and Peter. They went together on a twilight walk along the river Mir. Despite already in love, Peter did not realise that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lily until he saw her gazing up into the sky at the moon shining over a large Sycamore tree nearby.
In awe of her beauty, Peter grabbed her hand and pulled her over under the tree. He confessed his dream to spend his life with her and kissed her as the moon shone. It was not even a full moon, but the moon shone bright enough.
He knew his family didn’t like her. He knew he may never see them again due to what he was about to do; but he didn’t care. He bent down on one knee and proposed his marriage to her to which her answer was, of course, yes.
They spent all of their long lives together, and when they finally died in eachothers arms, people told their story to lovers all across The Farlands.
The couple are still together in death, and are buried next to eachother, having never left eachothers side.
