World Ember 2018

I only joined World Anvil on December 27th, and discovered the World Ember challenge on December 28th. I wrote non stop from December 28th right up to the deadline, only stopping for eating and sleeping (and pooping).   During the 3 days of my World Ember I wrote a total of 69 articles totalling up to just over ten thousand words. I goofed around, I wrote seriously, I just wanted to reach the base target of ten thousand.   In terms of characters, I’d have to say my top two were Christine Everheart and Pallemo Chrimalus. I definitely put the most effort into them and you can definitely tell when you compare them to other characters.   The work that I am most proud of definitely goes to A Kiss Under The Moon / The Love Blessed To Last. It’s a pretty romantic and sappy story but I really like it and a lot of others do too.   I’d like to thank everyone on the #worldember-2018 discord chat for helping me and giving me inspiration. A work that sprung entirely from inspiration and discussion in this chat was A Nobleman Walks Into a Bar. This has got to be one of my favourite works and it makes me laugh every time I read it and I could barely write it with laughter. It definitely didn’t help that it was 1AM at the time.   It’s been a pleasure to be apart of World Ember 2018, and I hope to participate again in 2019 too.
