World Ember

He opened his eyes. 6AM. November 30th. He knew what this meant. He turned towards his desk, barely awake, and started to write a universe into existence. Day in, day out he wrote about his world and the people inside it. After a couple of days, it really started to come to life.
It was December 7th when he finally completed his first ten thousand words. This meant he would receive his first “badge”. Badges are not just badges, they are symbols of honour. The higher the word count, the more badges. The more badges, the more legendary that person is.
I once met a person with 5 badges. They seemed to emit an aura. I heard that they can write words and they can come to life in the air.

Components and tools

Those who wish to submit themselves and attempt to earn the legendary badges will need a quill, ink, and several feet of papyrus. The highest obtainable badge is given to those who write 200,000 words, so best start writing as soon as you can!

Participants

The badge award ceremony is attended by many high beings and deities who wish to bestow their own gifts upon the best writers.

Observance

The World Ember takes place throughout the entire of December.
