Cl. Adain Vicary

History

Cl. Adain vicary is a vicary in Central Larfleur covering the west third Insurba. Colloquially, the vicary is known as tirma (meaning, "third") although it is the fourth vicary in terms of precedence.   Cl. Adain is an affluent vicary and the oldest part of the settlement on Insurba. The Gossemar bisects the vicary from west to east and was built by the Corporate Dominion of Velaire. Under Velaire, Cl. Adain was the site of the palace of the Velairean governor. After the collapse of Velaire, the vicary remained a commercial centre and became home to the city's first hospital, Cl. Cellian Hospital. Cl. Cellian's preostory was founded by the Velaireans as a settlement of monks. The monks became the biggest landowners on Insurba and collected huge rents from their ownership.   The old governor's palace was demolish in 6 PT and replaced by a new bazzara, the Basare of Capellry. The north, south, and east ranges were three stories tall and housed various market stalls, warehouses, and offices. The west range was never built to provide unobstructed views onto the River Lar. The bazzara is elevated 10m above the riverbank, protecting it from flooding. A promenade replaced the west range, creating space for hosting temporary functions.   The municipal gymnasium is a remnant from the Ghasscari, equipped with a running track, bathing pools, and an exercise yard. Membership to the gymnasium was restricted and quite expensive.
