Novus Ordo Seclorum

The world after the departure of the gods.

With the departure of the powers, brave civilizations began to spring up out of the still burning fires of the chaos of battle. Victorious and defeated, the tribes of man began to once again settle in the realms. Left to their own they set about to once again build a world where peace and prosperity instead of blood and blade were possible. But the old ways are hard to leave behind and this period of peace reborn would last a short time. Among these tribes of mortals would emerge several great leaders to found the Great Noble Houses. The House of Koth would establish the dynasty of Princess Enheduana Kinn and Kryptonelthraxus'drokothar. Known as The Ageless Ones, the King and Queen of Temonoi-Tempe settled in the lands once held by the gods themselves. Claiming the Lands as their right of conquest the named their new Kingdom Rhigol to be ruled from a new mortal settlement to replace the destroyed city of the gods atop Temonoi Tempe they called Andril. None, not man nor elf, dwarf or orc, would rise to oppose their claim.

The victorious elves, long defenders against the chaos would depart to Wicaen the legendary invisible isle of the Fey or to Caledon remains the last of the Aelfeayr Kingdoms. Those who chose the losing side of chaos in the Godswar were driven into the Underrealm in defeat.

The Dwarven Kings were fine with this as they only wished to return to their ancestral mountain halls of Grililath save for their Great King who chose to rule from Adamant Hall, the site of thier peoples greatest victory alongside the Druids of Parimon and the Vuldoon elves of the North. Those on the losing side of the Godswar were forced into the Underrealm and were soon transformed by their new elven masters into the dark dwarves.

The Halflings remained stalwart defenders of their ancestral lands of Kaendaloth during much of the conflict and so were left to their own to manage their fields, hills, and mountains, much like they did before the war.

Most of the Giants and Dragons retreated to the far northern lands to heal old wounds away from the lands of battle with much of their blood spilled and might spent.

The remaining leaders of mortal men, all heroes of the war, promised a thousand years of peace as they moved to rebuild, repair or establish new kingdoms and countries throughout the regions to the east and west of Caledon all the way to the very shores of the great ocean of Platicia. These leaders became the Ancient Noble Houses and established much of the Known Realms as they are today.

The Goblin-kin, having turned on their former masters to change the tide of the struggle, was led by the strongest amongst them who came from orc stock. He voiced his disgruntlement that all the choicest lands he and his people had fought and died for were taken by the older races. With disgust, he chose the broken lands of Maugulakh to found their own Orc, Kobold, Goblin, Troll, Gnoll, Bugbear, and Ogre nations but vowed that the dishonor shown his people would be repaid in kind.

The Ancient Noble Houses

In the final days of The Godswar the victorious races were awarded Dominion over The Realms by order of The King of The Gods Anullil. As symbols of Anulil’s regency and those immortals aligned under him, the victorious powers rewarded each Noble House with symbols of the gods and their authority to claim the lands of the world for their own dominion. Each item is a relic of power, artifacts in their own right, gifted in recognition of the great sacrifices they and their people made during the war.
The mortal races, mankind in particular, were allowed to settle in the lands of their choice first, followed by the elves, dwarves, halflings and other races. Anulil selected twelve of the most distinguished leaders among the mortals. Twelve more were selected by vote among each of the celestial houses. These twenty four became the harbingers who were chosen to lead and unite the fractured ancient empires, kingdoms, nations, countries, dominions, territories, tribes, groups and ancestors to bring them into the modern world. These chosen first ones became the patrons, matrons and founders of what came to be known as The Ancient Noble Houses; their lineage marking the first kings and queens of the current age.

House Kin
Kin was the father of Lady Enhenduill, the first to wield The Sword of Anullil leading to the end of The Godswar. Along with her husband Koth they ruled the lands surrounding the birthplace of the first men where the Tower of Immortals once stood atop Temonoi-Tempe. Ageless, they became known as The Eternal Ones, ruling for nearly two centuries without aging a day. House Solarii, assisted by Dannoran forces, invaded the day their only child Dro’Koth was born. Taken by The Archmage of Nydeis as his own son Dro’Koth would later return to free his people from the tyrannical slavery of the invaders colonising efforts. After reclaiming his birthright in order to maintain peace an agreement was made with Nydeis to marry the widow of the Last King of Dannor. The marriage effectively gave House Solarii hold over the regions of Kin and Dannor. The Kin/Dannor lineage from this marriage continued to rule as a Colonial Principality of Nydeis until the Wars of Succession and its annexation by House Drokoth created the two nations of Andril and Rhigolia.
