Sarkosuke

Related to crocodiles, Sarkosuke are monstrous beasts that can reach 30 feet in length, and often weigh in at over 2500 lbs. The Sarkosukes legs are longer and more centered than their crocodile cousins, allowing them to maintain chase speeds for much longer when they are pursuing prey. They can be found within The Miasma. They can occasionally be found in the swamplands surrounding the Miasma, and have been known to devastate small villages and hamlets that they encounter in their wanderings.

The Sarkosuke live in the humid marshlands of The Miasma.  Their range is quite wide and can even be found in a outside of the Miasma

Sarkosuke are typically ambush predators, but they are just as capable at simply chasing down their prey.

Social Structure

Sarkosuke do not form social groups, but will congregate in areas where large prey is expected to gather.
They use a variety of vocalizations, including hissing, coughing, chirps and growls, to communicate with each other.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The goblin tribes that inhabit the Miasma use Sarkosuke teeth as spear points, and imbed them in sticks to make a kind of war-axe.
Sarkosuke hide is very durable, making it useful for leather armors, as well as boots and belts.  Because of the difficulty involved in acquiring Sarkosuke hide, it is usually only found in the hands of the wealthy.
The stomach acid of the Sarkosuke is highly prized by Alchemists for the strength of the acid.

While I have no desire to be anywhere near a creature that can devour a horse in mere minutes, they do make for a rather fetching pair boots.
