Anvil Spider Silk

The silk from the Giant anvil is highly coveted because of its strength, smoothness. It is very rare because of its difficulty to farm, as the giant anvil spider can be very dangerous and is usually found in dark areas.
It is used for several things which include the following

• Soldiers like to go and hunt the spiders to gain there silk. This usually has two benefits. The first is it makes brilliant under garments which stop chafing on armour, last for ages cause of its strength and is stretchy which is manurable. Secondly it impresses people on two levels first it shows that where the finest garments and higher your prestige especially when courting certain people. Secondly as a solider it strongly hints that you got it yourself meaning you hunted this difficult to fight creature which adds to your prestige as a solider. The only soldiers who tend to get the time to do this are the well off and officer class who can afford/get the time to hunt these spiders. But it’s not unusual for mercenaries to do this.
• The silk also makes good fashion items and are sort after the rich and people who are trying to get a rung up the ladder. The more you wear the more important and or rich you are considered.
• Musicians consider the silk the perfect string for several string instruments.
The more Common items you tend to see the silk of the giant anvil spider on are as follows
• gloves for males and females. Long died gloves with embroidery are rather fashionable especially at certain courts and functions
• Neckwear A range of scarfs and cravats are very fashionable among the elite and it is not unusual for the lower classes to try to get hold of scarfs. To keep up with the neighbours or just simply impress them.
• handkerchiefs
• Under shirts among officers in the army. You would be locked down upon by your fellow officers if you don’t have one or maybe Even not considered a proper officer.
• Stringed instruments. You will find some of the best bards and court musicians will have a silk instrument.
