The Elves of the Green Slipper

The Elves of the Green Slipper split from a society of Forest Elves who they disagreed and argued that they where destroying the woodlands by chopping them down to build doors or buildings or building house into the trees. tried to persuade them to move underground to protect the top of the island. They where named after the Green Slippers that they used to wear. Which was a meaning that the honoured the green grass and treetops. the slippers where meant as a metaphor to protect the ground. They decided to create towns, canals and roads under the ground. They make the most of the heat under the ground as well the disused mines around the island and the soft soil between the rocks. The skin and eyes of the Elves have become lighter cause of there years under ground. But is not unusual for them to visit above the ground, either to protect or celebrate the natural world.   They get drinks from tree routes, from bogs and off stone and rock. They use rock and stones for there man made buildings. Tree routes can be twisted to make structures.   In the rare circumstances that they do live above ground they grow grass over earth direct tress over rocks that make a home.
