Year of a Thousand Storms

On the Eastern Continent During the year of a thousand storms which centred around what is now known as Shadow Bay, but back then it was called the Harino region. A disaster happened that would re shape the map and the life of many for the rest of there life’s and the descents lives. It started in a winter day early in the year with a slight tremers and ended up with a earthquake that the eldest elf had never seen before. Which devastated most of the buildings around the edges of the region which connected to the land which sent people fleeing all over the place to the lands in the north, south further in to the middle of the island. With this earthquake the ground almost seemed to have split the ground itself. Then what seemed to appear at random like dragons breath was volcanic eruptions from the far sides of the Hariono a Region and the lava flowing from these volcanoes seemed to go down the cracks and it felt like the whole region seemed to raise.over a period of a few months What seemed to appear was even stranger. As the volcano started to die down the weather seemed to get unusually wetter For the area and the wind started to pick up. This seemed to go on for what seemed like forever until the wind started circling the island and picking up pace. By this time the sea almost seemed in reachable without climbing down the newly formed cliffs. But in the coming months it become impossible as the wind Appeared to have turned in to a tornado a proceeded to only going around the edge of the island letting nobody in or out and raising the island into the sky where it is still this day leaving a shadow over the sea below.
