Kumao

Kumao (meaning 'bear foothill') is a small region in western Fusō that is home to the Kuma people. It is the only part of the southern mainland that is not part of the Ten Provinces as the indiginous population have resisted many invasions and attempts of conquest. Although, their territory has diminished over time.

The Kuma's resistance against Yayoi expansion is seen through their unique culture and heritage. They are best known for their veneration of bears.
