Okagakure

Okagakure no sato (meaning 'village hidden in the hills') is a secretive village of ninja in northern Kibi Province. Many of the shinobi born and trained in the village are sent into the service of the Katsura Clan who control the province. However, some seek work further afield, and are usually employed by major clans in the former Jū-kinai. In the past, several famed ninja from Okagakure served the imperial Kinoshita family.

Geography

The village sits at the top of a large hill north of the Tatsuhiro Plain, and close to the border between Kibi and Izumo. The hill provides a natural vantage and viewing point of the often contested plain.
