Athena

Athena was a wyvern hatched from one of two eggs confiscated by the Asshole Vigilantes after meeting and freeing Vanessa from the fort where she was imprisoned. Over the next couple of years, the vigilante Vanessa lovingly raised Athena, patiently mothering her through the wyvern's adolescent years until she was large enough (and agreeable enough) to ride, and to fight in the vigilantes' campaign for the throne.
In the era of the Ascendants, Vanessa used the heart of the fire primordial - and her newly honed fiendish abilities - to grant Athena new form in the body of a pyroclastic shadow dragon. Athena is now much larger than a typical wyvern, instead rivalling the size of an adult dragon. Her skin seems to burn from within like magma, and her scales and wings are an ashen black. She has control over these scales, and when she clutches them tightly to her body she is wreathed in black abyssal shadow, becoming incredibly stealthy despite her size. When she flexes her scales to pull them away from her skin, she sheds dim light and emanates a scalding heat in her space.
Athena has not been seen since the Betrayal.
