Edge

Edge is a female human rogue, initially under the employ of the King of Atrya, but later recruited to the side of the rebellion.

INVOLVEMENT WITH THE VIGILANTES

The A**hole Vigilantes first encountered Edge under less than ideal circumstances. She had been hired by the King to assassinate Vanessa, Heimdall, and Ragnar Volaris, and caught up to them while they occupied Granting. She performed a failed assassination attempt on Vanessa, who - though taken entirely by surprise and while distressingly low on resources - managed to flee into the Pocket Dimension safely...though she had the resources to get back out of the dimension and warn the others, she had forgotten this fact, and honestly, wouldn't change any of what followed for the world.

Edge then proceeded to Heimdall's quarters, magically disguised as Vanessa, acting extremely suggestive and seductive. Heimdall was not even remotely interested in investigating the validity of the unexpected encounter, instead much more focused on his own verility, which promptly got him stabbed in the armorless chest and downed in one effortless shot.

Vanessa returned before Ragnar similarly fell victim, though Edge remained disguised as Vanessa - there was a brief spat between the two ladies ("I'm the real Vanessa!" "No, I'm the real Vanessa!"), which was expediently resolved, as clearly our own Vanessa is the superior sorcerer.

Perhaps because of Heimdall's lascivious affinity towards Edge, perhaps because in a long-ago one-shot she was a player character, the trio did not burn her to ash for her offenses. Instead, they talked with her, ultimately convincing her to secretly defect to their side. They gifted her Ragnar's earring of cross-continent communication (he refused to wear it himself as he deemed "unfashionable") and deployed her back to the capitol to spy on the king on their behalf.

Edge later provided the intel that the King's army had split into two branches, one headed for the Harper's Stronghold and one headed for Granting, which allowed the Vigilantes enough time to coordinate their troops to face both assaults head-on. She also informed them of signal tower prototypes which had been stationed around the capitol's perimeter, which when activated, called creatures mutated by the Blood Moon to come to the city's defenses.

In the Vigilantes' final fight in the throne room, when the trio was briefly overwhelmed and paralyzed, Edge was one of many unexpected allies who came to the party's rescue, specifically taking down the assassin restraining Vanessa.

INVOLVEMENT WITH THE ASCENDANTS

Edge, along with Morpheus, were the first two recruited to Vanessa's secret Azrael Division of "Ghosts".

Her skills in espionage were also employed by Nevermore at Ragnar's behest (and Vanessa's allowance), in investigating Gails for a political foothold. When the party liberated dwarven engineers and 10th level spellcasters from the Mech Construction Facility, Vanessa tasked Edge with keeping an eye on the spellcasters, ensuring their comfort, safety, and allegiance.

In the timeline of events that transpired within The Simulation, Edge was also employed to investigate The Order and its mysterious leader, Foreverless.
