Treasure Map to Vetusto

The treasure map to the island of Vetusto, within the Isles of Ancient Power, which Jalan acquired within the Accursed Archives.

The map is accompanied by a detailed description of the island itself, as well as an intricate rendering of traps an adventurer may expect to find there, and steps to get around them.

In an attempt to glean more information on these steps, Jalan failed a save against the archives' dark magic and learned that the apparent first step was to "undress yourself and roll around in the blood of chickens for two hours." Upon his astute deduction that this could not possibly be the case, he offered up a secret to the Record Hunter accompanying him to learn more. With this secret, he gained two cryptic pieces of information:

"Four may enter, only one may exit, and at the beginning, the four must stand at the corners of the one room and await the trials ahead."

"Those who have sought are many, those who have seen have passed by, the magic here is clean, but to those who wield it is unclean."

He also learns that the "unclean magic" likely has something to do with "dark all-consuming power, most likely related to pestilence." More steps are visible in the document but are oddly blurred out, covered with a script that reads "take it with you. return with the prize to us" and "the text will reveal itself in the temple."

Needing no further encouragement, Jalan pocketed the map and its accompanying documents and took it out of the Accursed Archives, awaiting his opportunity to seek the treasure buried in the northern isles.
