Dandihami
Dandihami
My name is Dandihami, I am a Light-footed Halfling, I come from a small village of assorted races in a
place called Damara. I was 20 when my parents died in the Great Giant Attack, in the forest of
Earthwood where the trees and vegetation grow much faster than any other place. My family and I lived
in a small cottage in the forest and chopped wood to make our coin. When the giants came it redirected
my life in exciting and terrifying ways. shortly after the death of my parents and 2 siblings I set off to find
a new home, what happened instead changed my life forever.
As I was looking for a new safe place to start over, I wandered upon the river Vesper. I made the
grave mistake of trying to cross as it was the beginning of spring, and the river was high and fast. As I
tried to cross the river it swept me under. As I fought for my life I was swept far down the river before I
bashed my head on a rock and was knocked out. When I woke up, I was inside a greyish tanned hide
shelter. A nomadic orc barbarian family had found me washed up on shore miles from where I first
entered the river. They told me I was near the Flooded Forest, and they found me washed ashore 3 days
ago. For the next 2 years I lived, worked, and trained with them. They taught me how to fish and how
trade works, I also learned to do some other less legal things, my size made thieving quite easy. On one
of our search runs I acquired an egg the size of a goblin, it has yet to hatch, and I am not sure what is
inside. I also tamed a very rare hostile grey fox in a magic forest while looking for a type of mushroom
that is worth a lot of coin, it was actually very easy as I have noticed animals and me can feel each
other's emotions. My new family noticed my way with animals and told me I had a natural talent for
sensing animal emotions, and I should train to be a druid. They bought me a book from a market in
Elmwood on druids. I became hooked immediately, the book was on the history of druids, but I wanted
to become one so with my barbarian family's help and support we set out to find a place that could
help. 3 weeks later I had the supplies I needed. My new family and I spent our last night together
laughing and playing games. In the morning, I was to set off to a place called Neverwinter.
As I was about to leave camp and head for the waggoneer, Nuk the Grimm (my father) came to me
and presented me with a Warhammer like nothing I have ever seen. This hammer had a gold rope
wrapped handle and at the bottom was a gold eagle talon holding a ruby jewel. The hammer head itself
was gold with two massive pearl white eagle heads instead of a standard hammer head. Nuk told me he
had found it long ago and had hidden it for safety. He told me about how he believes it came from a
great barbarian king from the old country and he sensed immense power when he pulled me out of the
water that day almost 3 years ago now. He gifted me the hammer and told me I would change the
world. I hugged him and sheathed my new hammer; I was ready to go. I was on a nice wagon headed
west; I was on a 5000-mile trip that would take me through some pretty interesting places. 2800 miles
and 7 months later I stopped at Bhaerilith to resupply. As I was gathering water a Rakshasa (man tiger)
noticed my Warhammer, he was talking excitedly and pointing to my hammer. I could not understand
him, but he kept holding his hand out as if to hold the hammer. I cautiously handed him the hammer
(double bladed sword ready). He whispered something and wrapped a small gold thread around the hilt
of the weapon and handed it back to me with a friendly smile. The hammer felt like it weighed half what
it used to but swung with a devastating force. as I looked up to thank him... He was gone!? I continued
my travel for another 5 months and 1600 miles.
In Neverwinter I went on a book search to find my druid book but that quickly became 2nd priority as
I met a Dragonborn named Yrhymm Yamphistameth that agreed to teach me his knowledge on animal
handling. For the next 3 weeks we became remarkably close, and he told me a good friend of his was
supposed to meet him here in Neverwinter a week ago and he was beginning to wonder if he would
show. I told him I would stick with him either way if that was okay with him. He agreed and we decided
we would wait 1 more week before we set off to Storm Wreck Isle to look for information on a spell
Meth has been after for a long time. 3 days later as we were strategically taking equipment to another
location for another dragonborn Meth knew. I had gotten particularly good at getting in and out of
places unnoticed over the past 3 and a half years. Anyway, after our work was done, we were out
resting by the ocean when we heard a low raspy voice call out to Yamp, Yamp snapped to attention and
slowly went to check it out. Ghul! he shouted excitedly. as Alghul stepped into view I felt squeamish by
his appearance as he was a man I think, but he had 4 skeletal arms, had extraordinarily little skin that
allowed his insides to be exposed and wore armor I had never seen before. He carried an exotic firearm
and a staff gripped in one of the hands that unsettled me to my core, as the skull impaled on the top
seemed to stare into my soul. Meth seen my displeased look and assured me this man is trustworthy
and summarized my story to her. Alghul too, was headed to Storm Wreck Isle, 2 weeks later we had our
supplies and the 3 of us set off on a merchant ship headed for Dragons Rest. Destiny has big plans for us,
I thought, as we boarded the ship.
