Duchess Morwen Daggerford (More-win)
The Duchess of Daggerford, and General of Daggerford's military.
Lady Morwen spent much of her earlier years learning the ways of her home, from the upper echelons of the guilds and nobility, to the lowest beggar. As a young adult she joined her city's militia at the lowest rank, and worked her way up to the commanding rank over the course of decade. She proved herself to be a dedicated leader of the militia, and defender of her home, enabling an unprecedented era of peace; at least on the Trade Way and in the surrounding hamlets.
Once the Duke of Daggerford perished, she was the only available living relative. Her ascension to the throne of Daggerford was widely accepted, so much so that her she became noted as a woman of the people; often taking the time to visit the various city quarters and involve herself in local affairs.
Recently Duchess Morwen has secluded herself within her ruling seat, seeing few visitors as well as becoming notably more rigid in her dealings with those few whom she does see. This is most exemplified by her treatment of the recent Lizardfolk raiding crisis, where she seems to be favoring inaction.
