The Prayer of Passing

Fear not, for rest comes to all. It has waited since your birth, and was never yours to deny.   Beneath all we know, beneath the stone itself, she waits in gem-clad halls,   with open arms and smiling lips   upon her half-skin face.

Usually recited in Dwarvish as they are the origin of the worship of Hyla and the language in which the rite is typically recorded. The prayer is often recited over and over, as a sort of mantra, by a priest standing at the side of the dying, and is meant both to comfort and to remind the soon to be deceased that death is inescapable. It has also been used by priests engaging in battle with the undead, reminding those which try to evade death that it will come for them in the end.
