Kitsune
Kitsune are bestowed with the god's gift of shape-shifting, which their strive for perfect illusions and cunning represents, they age and evolve as the foxes do, quick-witted and ever adapting but never reaching the true wisdom of the gods. While the Gods are immortal, in the sense that they are not susceptible to aging and disease, Kitsune were just as bound to Godly Realms as their Human or Dragon counterparts were. The fate foretold by the Old-Gods was one of envy for the things they couldn't have, unlike power and trickery they yearned for true wisdom.
Sary declared that, after the creation of the gift of the Kitsune's shape-shifting, Kitsune would play a part in the "Rebirth of the 4 Realms", as they and their versatility amongst their armies' strength were unmatched. Sary foretold that the Race of Kitsune, with their envy and deviousness, would often lose themselves and try to become perfect but never able to reach their own view of perfection.
However, she also noted that "The bonds with other creatures and the love of the beauty in the realm, in their time, shall help them find the true perfection in life, the perfection being the Imperfection that lies in each and every creature, even in the gods."
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Kitsune body is their den. It is composed of many different types of arcane cells that together create the body and subsequently power systems. They ensure the viability of their more controlled magic body. The body anatomically is a sleeker, more agile version of that of a human. Many systems and mechanisms interact in order to maintain the bodies, with safe levels of substances such as sake and oxygen in their white blood. The body is studied by health by Scholars and by Kitsune Masters to assist them in their work. As most Kitsune bodies when they die compose the same way humans do.
Growth Rate & Stages
Kitsune, like humans, age slowly. They stay in their childhood from the age of 10 to the age of 21, which is when their puberty starts kicking in where they grow and change until they reach the age of 50. For males, this means their voice becomes deeper and their body becomes leaner, while their fur becomes softer. As for females, their features like tails, ears, and hips start developing, and their fur becomes more luscious.
After the age of 50, Kitsune start entering their middle lifespan from 50 to 80.
Their cells start regressing, and they become wiser (in most cases), able to master their crafts in between those 80 years of their life. At the ages of 80 and up, Kitsune start the last stage of their lifespan, being their lasting age, teaching and bringing their skills to the next generation ready to resolve their mortality and give on their gifts. They mostly stay in leading positions or as mentors until the day comes where they feel the passing of ages and die.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Kitsune dietary needs deal with the forging and preparation of large amounts of meat and rice. Most Kitsune are meat lovers, preferring to include various meats in their diet such as chicken, beef, and pork. However, they still incorporate vegetables and fruits into their meals to ensure a balanced diet. Kitsune are known for their ability to hunt and cook meat to perfection, and they take great pride in their culinary skills. They also enjoy drinking tea, which they brew from various herbs and flowers to complement their meals.
Behaviour
Kitsune seek perfection and self-fulfillment and are often regarded as the most self-assured race. They seek to perfect their minds and bodies in the eyes of their fellow Kitsune and themselves. More than other races, Kitsune live in large groups of families in dens and burrows in the forests, in unison with their kin. They value family bonds and take great pride in their communal living arrangements, with each Kitsune contributing to the success of their clan. Kitsune also value intelligence and are known for their vast knowledge and cunning, often using their intelligence to outsmart their enemies.
