Physical & Chemical Properties

Pure silver is nearly white, lustrous, soft, very ductile, malleable, it is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity and an easly destributable metal for medicinal purposes It is not a chemically active metal, but it is attacked by nitric acid and by hot concentrated sulfuric acid.
It has the highest magical conductivity of all metals, but its greater cost has prevented it from being widely used for magical purposes.
Silver is almost always monovalent in its compounds, but an oxide, a fluoride, and a sulfide of divalent silver are known. It does not oxidize in air but reacts with the hydrogen sulfide present in the air, forming silver sulfide. This is why silver objects need regular cleaning to keep its magical effects, if there are any attuned to it. Silver is stable in water.

Life & Expiration

Silver by itselfe does not loose its consistency, but enhanced magic items using necromancy can deteriorate it in a matter of seconds. As for Divination being able to enhance its strenght and density to the point of it rivaling Mithrall in the hands of the right alchemist.

Silver dosent have any real regulations about its usage or distrubtuion, but some states value it the same way gold does, and have an angel of Flax sent for its trading and to check the objects purity.

Rarity

Silver is considered the 4th most rare metal, right after gold. the reason for that was the big Spellplauge where alchemists and doctors used masses of it to create cures and antidotes for the varios diseases and plagues.

Color

Silver do not have a true or solid color but rather a reflective tone. To achieve silver, you must apply a reflective pigment to a gray-white base.
